It's Easy To Say You Believe

C.S Lewis in his book, “A Grief Observed,” said, “You never know how much you really believe anything until its truth or falsehood becomes a matter of life and death. It is easy to say you believe a rope to be strong as long as you are merely using it to cord a box. But suppose you had to hang by that rope over a precipice. Wouldn’t you then first discover how much you really trusted it?”

Likewise, everyday we get “reports” from the news, our experiences even our own thoughts. Not to mention friends and family. However, we also get reports from the Word of God which oftentimes contradicts what everything else is saying. That’s when we have a choice: do we trust and believe what we hear in the natural, or do we trust and believe the written report of the Lord?

Whose Report Will You Believe?
